Councillor Darryl Wilson announces selection to stand in council elections

Councillor Darryl Wilson has announced on social media that he has yet again been selected to stand in the upcoming council elections in May on behalf of the UUP.

“I am pleased to announce that I have been selected as a candidate for the Ballymoney area by the Ulster Unionist Party to contest the upcoming elections.

For over 4 years now I have been your elected representative on Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

In 2014 I stood on a promise to work as hard as possible for the people of Ballymoney, irrespective of class, race, religion or creed, to be present within the community at all times, not just election time, to encourage growth in our high street and to help increase tourism within our area, to lobby for improvement to local infrastructure and to fight for services and facilities which are important to local people,

to make myself available to the public and to engage with local people at every opportunity in a bid to keep my finger on the pulse of what’s important to you.

So much ground has been covered in my first term, however there is so much more to achieve as we look towards a new term in local government… The only functioning form of government in Northern Ireland

It has been a great honor and privilege to work on your behalf in local government for the last few years, and it is my hope that you will put your trust in me once again on the 2nd of May. “

Council elections will take place on 2nd May and its expected that not candidates will be revealed in coming days and weeks across all parties.
