William Dunlop Memorial Trophy Match

William Dunlop who sadly passed away last year, had in the previous years taken part in the charity match to raise money for a children charity.

This year motorbike riders from both the world of road racing and short circuit got together again this year to hold a memorial match in his honour playing for the newly named trophy the ‘Michael Dunlop Memorial’

The match ended with a win to the road racing team, captained by Williams cousin Gary Dunlop, 4-3 with goals from Paul Robinson (x2), Darryl Anderson and James Kelly.

The match was played at Seagate and had in previous years raised over £20,000 to the Children cancer unit at Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital but this year the money raised will be split with half going to Williams partner Janine and their young family.
